Shared Bridges

ANNA NAJAM is a Thoroughbred horse owner, and founder of Purple Rein Thoroughbreds Publishing. A lifelong horse lover, she spent decades admiring the sport from the outside before discovering the world of Thoroughbred ownership through MyRacehorse in 2024.
What began as the purchase of a single ownership share quickly became an immersive journey into the Thoroughbred industry. Through visits to racetracks, training centers, and sales grounds, Anna found herself learning directly from the owners, trainers, jockeys, breeders, and horses who make up the Sport of Kings. Those experiences inspired her debut book, Shared Tracks: The Future of Thoroughbred Horse Ownership, and the continuing Shared series.
Drawing from both personal experience and firsthand industry access, Anna writes to bridge the gap between newcomers and longtime racing participants. Her work focuses on making Thoroughbred ownership approachable, understandable, and welcoming to anyone curious about the sport.
When she is not writing, Anna works as an accountant, follows the progress of the horses in her stable, and advocates for greater accessibility and understanding within Thoroughbred racing. Through her books and Purple Rein Thoroughbreds Publishing, she strives to show that what is often viewed as the Sport of Kings can truly become the Sport of All.
Anna lives in Florida and can often be found where many of her stories begin—at the rail, listening to what the horses have to say.
